Early bird discount on all categories until the end of August.

Entries are online only. There's early-bird discounts and wait-list if full.

All solo entrants will receive a Tarawera Ultra. 3XDRY T from nzoactive (example only shown at right).

All solo entrants will receive a pair of Injinji performance mini crew toesocks.

A redwood Tarawera Ultra. tea (or beer) coaster for all finishers.The coasters are from a tree that fell near the start-line. Shirts, socks, coasters and more will be in your racepacks in March.

For all athletes (solo and relay), there will be lots of chances to buy Tarawera Ultra. shirts, Injinji socks, INOV-8 shoes etc. at the race.

Refund policy

If you cannot make it to the start line, refunds will be:

  • 100% of race entry before the early-bird cut-off date (end of August.)
  • 50% of race entry after the early-bird cutoff date and before January 1
  • No refund if you entered after January 1.
  • We will not mail socks, shirts etc. to you (sorry).

Distances
Three race distances, either:
1. Rotorua to Kawerau 100km, or
1. Rotorua to Kawerau 50+ miles (85km), or
2. Rotorua to Tarawera Falls (60km)

Relay Options
You can also complete the 50+ mile (85km) run as part of a 2 or 4 person relay team.
